Integrative Nutrition Coaching is a cutting-edge approach to holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. It is a whole-person approach to health and wellness, taking nutrition well beyond simply the food choices people make on a daily basis. My extensive training in Integrative Nutrition Coaching includes over 100 different dietary theories, from the traditional to the modern, from the East to the West. I studied practical lifestyle management techniques and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, Dr. Deepak Chopra, a leader in the field of mind-body medicine, Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center, Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University, Marion Nestle, PhD, MPH, professor at New York University’s Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health, and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
Healthy eating is the foundation of a healthy life. I teach the importance of discovering which foods work best for you. Based on the concept of bio-individuality, the same foods that work for you may be the wrong foods for another person. We will navigate the world of contradictory nutrition and health advice together, explore what truly works for you, and set up personal goals. Your relationships, career, creativity, physical activity, spirituality, and other components all feed your soul and hunger for living. These components together form what is known as Primary Food. When your Primary Food is in balance and nourishing, then what you eat becomes secondary. Good food changes everything, but without practices that feed your soul, something is still missing. In our coaching sessions we look at how all areas of your life are connected and how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
Integrative Nutrition Coaching empowers you to look at your life and notice where you can make better choices. You will learn how to satisfy your Primary Food requirements with healthy life choices and cultivate a nourishing and comfortable relationship with food and your body. It is a process that can go deep and where nothing is off limits. It prompts you to change your conversation with yourself regarding food, health, body, mind, and soul. I don’t just teach you which foods to eat, rather I guide you to learn how to take care of and nourish yourself. That is what makes all the difference. You can live each day with the freedom to choose what is right for you. You can build healthy new habits and create sustainable lifestyle changes. When you learn how to nourish yourself, you become empowered to live a healthier life, leading to greater personal freedom and happiness.
